Ana Paula Albin
Ana works in the youth empowerment sector as the co-founder and director of Proa. For potential volunteers between eighteen and twenty-five and companies in Peru and Latin America, Proa is a volunteering platform that helps individuals and companies find social organizations aligned with their interests and philosophies and supports companies in developing corporate volunteer programs by providing a personalized volunteer management tool to optimize the company's resources, track registered volunteers and their hours, create satisfaction surveys, and extract data to promote a culture of volunteerism. Ana's short-term goal is to connect 20,000 volunteers, grow the company's reach to 100 NGOs, raise $30,000 in donations, and achieve corporate sales of $150,000 in 2023. Their long-term vision is to become Latin America's main digital aid platform. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Ana's top business challenge is Marketing & Sales. More specifically, sales decreased after COVID-19, and Ana wants to review the company's value proposition, diversify its products, and create financial and staffing projections. During the Fellowship Placement, Ana hopes to gain exposure, expand the company's impact, and solve its main challenges of gaining access to international volunteer networks and developing a digital education platform focused on teaching entrepreneurship and connecting entrepreneurs with mentors, government funds, and international opportunities.
