Anna Lucía García Sagastume
Anna Lucía works in the arts and culture sector as the CEO of Alunna Borda. For animal-loving Guatemalans who wish to have a special keepsake of their pet, Alunna Borda is an art and culture business that offers unique animal-focused embroidery pieces for customers to treasure and uses social media to showcase the creative process. In the short term, Anna Lucía aims to promote the art of embroidery, specifically the needle painting technique, and, ultimately, they wish to demonstrate that art can be a viable means of income. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Anna Lucía’s top business challenge is Operations. More specifically, because the creative process is something that only artists can do, finding ways to expedite the process has been challenging. During the Fellowship Placement, Anna Lucía hopes to gain knowledge in financial matters, coaching and workshop development, process enhancement, and market research.
