Marcelo Javier Sus
Marcelo works in the food and beverage sector as the COO of Redalco. For people struggling with food insecurity, Redalco is a food distribution program that improves communities’ nutrition and health by distributing food to social organizations, creating the opportunity for 60,000 people to access fruit and vegetables. Marcelo’s short-term goal is to distribute fruit and vegetables to 120,000 people. Their long-term goal is to eradicate food insecurity in Uruguay and create jobs through the sale of data labeling services. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Marcelo’s top business challenge is Finance. Specifically, they want to increase fundraising through new donors or funds. During the Fellowship Placement, Marcelo hopes to gain knowledge and valuable insights, foster meaningful connections to improve their management and leadership skills, and collaborate on projects that align with their organizational and entrepreneurial expertise, while also contributing positively to both the Fellowship Placement Organization's mission and Redalco's growth.
