Miguel Enrique Malnati
Miguel works in the agriculture and animal care sector as the CEO of Bio Natural Solutions (BNS). For farmers and agricultural exporters of fresh fruit (mango, avocado, and citrus fruit), BNS is a fruit coating provider that offers increased preservation of produce, operates without the use of fungicides postharvest, is aligned with ecological and chemical-free trends, and due to its use of technology based on fruit waste, has significantly mitigated the carbon footprint of its operations. Miguel’s short-term goal is to complete an investment round to fulfill the company’s expansion plan. Their long-term vision is to bring the company’s patented technology to new Latin American markets to add to those it has already penetrated in Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Miguel’s top business challenge is Scaling & Expansion. More specifically, they want to form alliances to explore large markets, such as the US, and strengthen key aspects of the company’s expansion stage, including finance, business strategy, and scalable value propositions. During the Fellowship Placement, Miguel hopes to learn about potential US customers for the company’s patented technology, gather their feedback on the product, and learn about US customers’ requirements to strengthen their business model.
