Nestor Aldrete
Nestor works in the electronics and technology sector as the Founder and CEO of NeuralWorks. For individuals with hearing impairments, members of the Deaf community, and people with disabilities seeking to break down communication barriers, be more included and engage fully in conversations, NeuralWorks is an assistive technology company that offers real-time sign language translation and accessible sign language education, enabling effective communication and early language acquisition and promoting cognitive development and social integration, thereby empowering deaf individuals using innovative technology. Nestor aims to expand the user base of their company’s apps among the Deaf community in the short term and ultimately to establish NeuralWorks as the global standard for communications accessibility. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Nestor’s top business challenge is Scaling & Expansion, especially optimizing NeuralWorks apps’ user experiences in order to expand its adoption. During the Fellowship Placement, Nestor hopes to gain exposure and fresh perspectives and establish meaningful connections, enhancing the impact of their work and fostering cross-cultural innovation for the betterment of deaf people.
