Fabiane Kuhn
Fabiane works in the agriculture and animal care sector as the Co-founder and CEO of Raks Agricultural Technology. For farmers with irrigated lands who hope to decrease water and electricity consumption, Raks Agricultural Technology is an irrigation management company whose solution assesses soil moisture to ensure farmers receive accurate information for efficient irrigation management, saving water and electricity and increasing crop productivity. Fabiane's short-term goal is to cover 100,000 hectares of Brazil's 8.2 million irrigated hectares with the company's solution within two years. Their long-term vision is to expand globally and for the company to become the standard for remote sensing irrigation management because its soil moisture sensor is already recognized as one of the top five globally. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Fabiane's top business challenge is Marketing & Sales. More specifically, they intend to explore options to reach rural producers who cannot access Raks' products online. During the Fellowship placement, Fabiane hopes to gain experience in marketing and sales, learn from companies that have successfully overcome growth challenges, and build a solid foundation for collaboration and knowledge exchange with other organizations to achieve mutual growth.
