Felix works in the agriculture and animal care sector as the Manager of Cruz Verde La Paz. For gourmet restaurants, eco-markets, and online markets seeking fresh produce with a low carbon footprint and transportation costs, Cruz Verde La Paz is a food production company that focuses on urban, vertical, hydroponic, and commercial farming and farm-to-table services, providing its customers with fast delivery and pesticide-free produce. Felix's short-term goal is to construct the company's first commercial vertical farm by combining its technology with technology from other regions. Their long-term goal is to collaborate with partners to build multiple farms on building rooftops in the city. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Felix's top business challenge is Scaling & Expansion. More specifically, they want to secure funding for the company's expansion and learn effective management techniques. During the Fellowship Placement, Felix hopes to learn how other organizations work toward smart and sustainable agriculture to accelerate the company's achievement of this goal.
