Hector Diaz del Valle
Hector works in the restaurant sector as the General Manager of Torre de Control. For people who love to eat good food and experience local flavors, Torre de Control is a restaurant that sources food from local producers to produce its signature dish, Yuca con Chicharron, an iconic dish in the region. Hector’s short-term goal is to increase sales to hire more people and expand to a second location. Their long-term goal is to build the restaurant’s name and reputation nationwide to become an iconic tourist attraction in Honduras. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Hector’s top business challenge is Expansion & Scaling. More specifically, they want to develop a clear plan to attract new customers, especially the younger generation. During the Fellowship Placement, Hector hopes to gain knowledge of marketing strategies to revitalize the restaurant for future generations.
