As the co-founder of the Iraqi Travellers Cafe, Diyar Talal Alzuhairi has experience managing cross-cultural events and building human networks to encourage peacemaking dialogues and foster global citizenship. For his CSP Practicum, Diyar was placed at Rotary Club of Houston Skyline in Houston, Texas where he will actively participate in Rotary Club meetings, connect with rotary members, and be involved in discussions and decision-making processes. For his follow-on project in Iraq, Diyar plans to clarify his community initiative’s goals and translate his experience into a relevant local context.
