As an assistant socioemotional counselor for Bangladesh University of Professionals, Md Rakibul Hasan has experience helping adults better manage their trauma-related dysfunctions by intervening in their cognitive processes and emotional blocks. For his Practicum, Mahin will was placed at Youth Crossroads in Berwyn, Illinois where he helped design a counseling program to serve families from the Middle East and North Africa. For his follow-on project in Bangladesh, Mahin plans to launch a group intervention program to lessen the transmission of trauma-related dysfunctions to succeeding generations.
