As a program officer for ECPAT Luxembourg, Shraddha Verma has experience liaising with the local and federal governments and government bodies, reviewing policies, and coordinating with stakeholders, including survivors of trafficking. For her CSP Practicum, Shraddha was placed at Marie Colvin Center for International Reporting at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York where she helped student journalists at the School of Communication and Journalism (SoCJ) to improve their understanding of child protection and trafficking. For her follow-on project in Nepal, Shraddha plans to work with survivors to empower them to demand their rights and to ensure that policies are trauma informed and centered on the needs of survivors.
