Maxie Gluckman
As a youth technical advisor for IREX’s Center for Applied Learning and Impact, Maxie Gluckman leads research and innovation around improving equality and inclusion in youth programs globally.
Prior to joining IREX, Maxie worked for more than 10 years as a program designer, evaluator, business developer, educator, and researcher for the United Nations and international non-governmental organizations across Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. In her previous roles, she supported multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams bridging research and practice through program implementation; results-based management; and monitoring, evaluation, accountability, research, and learning.
Maxie has a PhD in education from the University of California, San Diego. Her research employs a variety of qualitative, mixed methods, and participatory methods with the aim of centering the voices and lived experiences of children and youth in low-resource, crisis, and mobile contexts. Maxie speaks English, Spanish, and French.
