As a Director for Architects for Change, Abbas focuses on the role of architecture and design in social impact and sustainable development and develops programs for young architects and designers. Abbas is an expert in youth education and design for social impact and has developed skills in leadership, participatory design, and project management. During his fellowship in the United States, Abbas hopes to learn about environmental education among youth while also developing his skills in strategic planning, proposal writing, and budgeting. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Abbas plans to increase the engagement of youth in their communities and their knowledge of environmental issues by developing and implementing educational programs.
