Adina Marina Calafateanu serves as the leading figure for the Center for Sustainable Community Development, an NGO that aims to contribute to sustainable development through educational workshops and programs that promote active citizenship among youth groups, specifically for underserved youth in Romania. Adina also holds a PhD in Comparative Youth Policies from the University of Bucharest, serves as a teaching assistant in the university, and is a member of the Pool of European Youth Researchers partnership between the Council of Europe and European Commission. As a fellow at the Resilience Advocacy Project (RAP) in New York City, Calafateanu worked on participatory research methodologies with teen father groups. She was involved in recruiting the beneficiaries of RAP programs as well as expanding RAP’s program network. Following the Community Solutions Program, Calafateanu focused her work on developing a project for rural youth participation in Giubega Village on being a successful young social entrepreneur.
