Adriana Calderon
As program manager for the CREDIBLE program in Colombia, Adriana works alongside youth-led and youth-serving partner organizations to transform the way people interact with their information environment, creating resilience to mis- and disinformation, and ultimately empowering youth to engage in fact-based discourse and decision-making.
Adriana is a sociologist who specializes in political, communication and rural sociology and has more than 14 years of experience working with international cooperation agencies in Colombia such as USAID, the United Nations, and the European Union.
She is skilled in implementing, designing, analyzing, and managing projects, with a focus on monitoring and analyzing methodological tools. Additionally, she has experience managing interdisciplinary teams with different partners at the national and local level. She has experienced on program design and monitoring, evaluation methodologies, data analysis techniques, and information systems in social research. This includes roles on projects addressing public policy, social organization support, project management, program evaluation, and international cooperation.
Adriana holds a master's degree in interdisciplinary development studies and public policy from Los Andes University in Colombia and a bachelor's degree in sociology from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. She is a native Spanish speaker with professional fluency in English.
