As a researcher for United Nations Volunteers, Alaa Elsayed has experience promoting community resilience, peace-building and youth empowerment. Upon returning to Sudan, Alaa plans to establish an initiative to advocating for improved development polices and will train youth in peace-building and conflict resolution. Alaa will be placed at YWCA in Houston, Texas to help them develop their impact measurement and curriculum for programs focused on young womens leadership
