As a Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant for the Small Grants Programme (SGP) of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Alejandro Ibarra Salgado has experience working on projects that conserve and restore the environment while enhancing people's well-being and livelihoods. For his follow-on project in Ecuador, Alejandro plans to support community organizations in the economic recovery from COVID-19 and enhance socio-ecological resilience.

Alejandro will be placed at The Community Foundation of Mendocino County in Ukiah, CA to support participatory dialogues with Native American and Latino organizations to gather baseline information and plan development projects.
