Alexis Field
Alexis Field is joining IREX as a Program Officer and Alternate Responsible Office (ARO) for the J-1 Scholar Visa Program and will be backstopping for the Kenya Play Project (KPLAY), funded by the Lego Foundation.
In her role as Program Officer and ARO, Alexis assists exchange visitors, hosts and immigration attorneys through the J-1 Research Scholar and Short-Term Scholar visa application process. She also advises on immigration processes throughout the scholar’s time in the United States. In her role backstopping for KPLAY, Alexis manages subaward finances and provides administrative support to the KPLAY Project.
Prior to joining IREX, Alexis was a Staffing Manager at International Exchange of North America (IENA) where she managed the onboarding of exchange visitors and served as an ARO for their J-1 Camp Counselor and Summer Work and Travel Visas. She also had the opportunity to advise on cultural exchange and diplomacy at conferences and Washington D.C.’s annual Advocacy Day.
Alexis is very passionate about cultural exchange and spent a semester abroad in Italy while getting her BA in History from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
