Alvin Winford
As Program Manager at the African Network for the Prevention and Protection Against Child Abuse, Alvin Winford has worked on a number of programs that aim to mitigate gender-based violence in local Liberian communities. During his CSP fellowship, Winford worked with Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence in San Jose, California. With Next Door Solutions, Winford worked and attended trainings on grant writing, case management, advocacy and counseling. Upon returning to Liberia, Winford established a women’s support group for victims of domestic violence, providing a network of resources and counseling to women who have been affected by violence in their homes.
