As a secretary general for the Society Center for Human Rights and Community Security Sabah, Amanda Leonie Benedick has experience managing organization and community projects and research and providing legal aid to vulnerable communities. For her CSP Practicum, Amanda was placed at Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) in Portland, Oregon where she worked on issues of migration, equity, refugee and immigrant rights. For her follow-on project in Malaysia, Amanda plans to conduct a youth empowerment and leadership program with indigenous and undocumented youth using human rights and progressive values.
