Ana Maria Mojica
Ana works in the education sector as the academic director and co-founder of Fundación M&M Formando Lideres. For Colombian and Venezuelan migrant and refugee children between four and eighteen who face extreme poverty, domestic violence, and xenophobia and are susceptible to drug addiction and recruitment by illegal groups, Fundación M&M Formando Lideres is a non-profit dedicated to eradicating xenophobia and domestic abuse, reducing poverty, protecting children, and offering quality education in a safe and healthy environment. Ana's short-term goal is to add thirty beneficiaries to the company's educational program. Their long-term goal is to reach more remote locations in Colombia and provide resources to places beyond urban centers where Colombian and immigrant children lack access to quality educational resources. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Ana's top business challenge is Finance. During the Fellowship Placement, Ana hopes to gain exposure and discover how to develop partnerships with government and private organizations, learn about different management and leadership styles, and raise funds.
