As Deputy Director for Act for Solutions (AFS), Antoine develops, implements and monitors projects promoting women and youth empowerment. The projects aim to both ensure sustainable socio-economic development protect the environment. Antoine has expertise in community engagement, women and youth empowerment, capacity building for vulnerable groups, research, advocacy, and lobbying for inclusive development. During his fellowship in the United States, Antoine hopes to learn about environmental issues, effective community engagement approaches, and gender issues, while also developing his skills in sustainable alternative energy, effective organizational management approaches; and fundraising strategies. Upon returning to Rwanda, Antoine plans to support the economic development of vulnerable groups, particularly women and youth, through environmentally sensitive projects.
