As the Executive Director of Camp for Peace Liberia, B. Abel Learwellie provides administrative and strategic direction for project implementation and ensures regular and timely reporting on project activities. While in the U.S., Learwellie worked with Fellowship of Reconciliation (FOR) in Nyack, New York, where he helped educate citizens on living an active lifestyle and provided tools, training, and mentorship for building decentralized leadership development. Since his return to Liberia, Learwellie has established a 12-month rehabilitation and vocational program for vulnerable youth and a peace education project that focuses on conflict sensitivity, self-esteem building, leadership development, and participation in democracy.
