As a Program Officer for the National Democratic Institute’s Women and Civic Program in Kyrgyzstan, Baktybek Kainazarov has experience in community organizing, gender advancement, civic engagement and civil society development. Upon returning to Kyrgyzstan, Baktybek Kainazarov plans to work with initiative groups and community members to increase their civic participation and strengthen their understanding and participation in community advocacy and decision-making processes. Baktybek will be placed in RepresentWomen in Takoma Park, Maryland, working on research and monitoring of global ranking of women’s representation and best practices used around the globe to advance women’s representation and leadership
