Benson Kandeh
As a WASH Coordinator for Advocacy Initiative for Development, Benson Kandeh has over seven years of experience in the water sector for various national and international organizations and rural communities. His work provides access to safe drinking water using a self-supply approach. Benson also innovated a simple borehole drilling tool and a simple hand pump system using locally available materials. For his follow-on project in Sierra Leone, Benson plans to train young people to serve as change agents to solve their community problems.
Benson will be placed at UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant in Athens, GA to implement projects and undertake research and assessments his host organization will need.
