As a social development and gender consultant, Le Thi Binh helps integrate gender and social issues into the organization’s structure and operations through data collection, awareness raising, training, research, policy advocacy, and monitoring and evaluation. During her fellowship in the United States, Le Thi hopes to learn new approaches and communication tools to effectively create behavior change on gender and social issues in her community, while developing her project leadership and management skills. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Le Thi plans on utilizing effective communication initiatives to raise awareness and knowledge of gender issues, women’s empowerment and related legal framework for young people in her community in order to challenge gender prejudices and promote gender equality. She aims to create effective campaign incorporating relevant topics and use media and communication tools and channels to effectively disseminate these messages.
