As a mentor for Girls for Girls Botswana, Bokani Thekwini has experience imparting life skills and facilitating social and behavioral change at the individual and community levels. For her CSP Practicum, Bokani was placed at Women's Initiative for Self Empowerment in St. Paul, Minnesota where she supported workshops on girls leadership development, healthy relationships, and gender-based violence prevention. For her follow-on project in Botswana, Bokani plans to collaboratively deliver a comprehensive girl empowerment program to equip girls with courage, vision, and skill-based tools to lead.
