As a Facilitator and teaching artist for Smart Aleks Education Ltd., Brendon O'Brien has experience using the performing arts to engage youth and communities on issues such as domestic violence and children's right. Brendon is placed at One Common Unity in Washington, DC, to develop new workshops and projects for youth and communities in Washington, DC, as well as assist with outreach and stakeholder engagement. Upon returning to Trinidad and Tobago, Brendon plans to create forum theatre processes that empower communities in Trinidad to understand and critique the legal and political systems, with a view towards social change.
