As an Indigenous Peoples Focal for the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI, Carl Myson Gandecela Dulla has experience in the promotion and protection of the welfare and rights of indigenous peoples. Carl is placed at Asian American Organization Project in Minneapolis, MN to support programs that promote civic engagement among youth. Upon returning to the Philippines, Carl plans to establish a youth development program for indigenous youth to help them grow holistically, embrace their ethnicity, and increase indigenous leaders' participation in local decision-making bodies.
