Catalina Ruiz-Navarro, Columbia, is a journalist, activist and digital entrepreneur. She is founder and director of the magazine-NGO Hoja Blanca (HojaBlanca.net) devoted to mentor and publish the work of new talents, promote exchange of ideas and advocate for freedom of speech. Hoja Blanca has published the works of more than 130 new authors since 2007 and has implemented workshops in vulnerable communities for critical reading, internet research and content production. Catalina is a weekly op-ed columnist for the Colombian newspaper El Espectador and a freelance journalist for various media. Additionally, She works as Communications and Outreach Officer for the NGO Women's Link Worldwide, which designs and implements legal strategies for gender justice around the world. She is also a Youth Action Net Global Fellow for the year 2011.
