As the Director of the Product Design Master Program of Universidad Centroamericana Jose Simeon Canas, Celina Andino facilitates participatory design methodologies applied to design education through community engagement. While in the U.S., Andino worked with Project Commotion in San Francisco, where she learned new strategies for working with children with disabilities, storytelling as a qualitative assessment, and inclusion best practices. Since her return to El Salvador, Andino has focused her efforts on designing a product design course using a material driven methodology to involve artisans, designers, architects, engineers, and marketing professionals.
