Daniela works in the Community Development sector leading Organization Huellas & Futuro. Daniela is a peace and conflict transformation expert leading a non-profit organization that strives to stop and prevent violence mainly against women and children in Bolivia. The organization predominately works with women who have been exposed to violence and their families. In most cases, these women are young housewives and full-time mothers without careers or education; hence, they are not eligible for loans or jobs. The fellow works to give these women micro-credit and technical training to enable them to start their own businesses and reclaim their lives after victimization. The organization’s service is unique because it creates economic empowerment for women and provides psychological and technical support to assure their success. Coming to the YLAI Fellowship, Daniela’s top business challenge is Marketing and Sales.
