Dipesh Gurung
As a Program Officer for Environmental Camps for Conservation Awareness (ECCA), Dipesh develops and supports natural resource conservation projects in coordination with local stakeholders. Dipesh has experience developing new concepts for environmental conservation through youth mobilization, drafting proposals, and monitoring and evaluating ECCA’s projects. During his fellowship in the United States, Dipesh hopes to learn about U.S. conservation practices, the use of technology in conservation, and the adaptation to and mitigation of the effects of climate change. He also wants to develop his skills in proposal writing, networking, effective communication, and community outreach. Upon returning to Nepal, Dipesh plans to mobilize youth for the conservation of natural resources and to reduce human and wildlife conflict in protected areas through education and raising awareness.
