As the District Coordinator of Breakthrough ACTION Zambia, Edgar Simbeye supports the work of the District Health Office in various health facilities focusing on health economics, HIV/AIDS, adolescent reproductive health, and more. While in the U.S., Simbeye worked with Center for Health Justice in Los Angeles, where he conducted health education on addiction and drug use, conducting counseling sessions for the released inmates at the center, and helped released incarcerated people connect to their families by providing free phone and internet services. Since his return to Zambia, Simbeye has focused his efforts on maternal health and children's health through community involvement and  participation.
