As the chief coordinator for UNORINCA (formed by 7 indigenous communities), Edison Jonathan Andrango Moran has experience creating bridges between public and private institutions with different indigenous communities in order to provide basic services. For his CSP practicum, Edison collaborated with Spirit of the Sun in Denver, Colorado where he supported community-based projects. For his follow-on project in Ecuador, Edison plans to create a regional water monitoring network and empower indigenous leaders to improve water quality and delivery through trainings on collective rights, water treatment practices, and aquifer care.
