Elhadji Gueye is a graduate in Economic Analysis and Policies, with over six years’ experience consulting for NGOs in youth issues. He trains young people in entrepreneurship, leadership, and life skills. He is the program manager at Synapse Center, where he helps community associations to run projects and improve their internal management systems. He also works with young entrepreneurs in agriculture to professionalize their businesses, as many of them are illiterate and live in disadvantaged areas. A former president of AIESEC in Senegal and fellow of the Political Leadership Program of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in 2014, Elhadji co-founded The Hand of Change in 2013, a platform for young people to make a positive impact in their community by promoting education, gender equality, and environment protection. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Elhadji aims to be an expert in education, citizenship, and youth policies in an international/regional organization.
