As a General Dentist for the Ministry of Health in Health in Haiti, Elie conducts oral assessments for school children and provides dental clinic referrals for oral health pathologies and emergencies. Elie is an expert in dental health and public health and has developed skills in strategic planning, organizational leadership and public speaking. During his fellowship in the United States, Elie hopes to learn about project management, financial management, and monitoring and evaluation while also developing his skills in staffing, logistics and facilitating projects. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Elie plans to establish a non-governmental organization with the goal of increasing oral health awareness in schools and among vulnerable groups by implementing various oral health initiatives.
