Ephraim joined IREX in 2013 and currently serves as the deputy manager for the SAFE Initiative in the East Africa region.

In addition to assisting with management activities, he is also a SAFE regional trainer.

Prior to joining IREX, Ephraim served as the head of IT at Media Council of Kenya, where he was also the lead for journalism safety monitoring and emergency response.

Ephraim holds a BSc in information technology from JKUAT University, Kenya, a leadership educational background from Strathmore University, Kenya, and a journalism safety background training in Kenya and the USA.
