As the Managing Director of International Center for Islam and Pluralism (ICIP), Farinia Fianto helps design, develop, execute and evaluate all ICIP’s projects that promotes human rights, democracy, gender and pluralism in Islamic educational institutions such as pesantren (Islamic traditional boarding school) through community development and empowerment. Farinia hopes to discover and learn more on community development in particular in community empowerment for the youth and marginalized community, while also developing her people skills during the fellowship in U.S.

After the completion of the Community Solutions program, she plans to develop and strengthen community development in pesantrens and marginalized community through implementing series of training workshops on community empowerment.
