As Project Manager at the Network for Community Development Services, Francis Mpagi is a human rights advocate for at-risk populations, including HIV/AIDS-affected individuals, orphans and vulnerable children, low-income women, and widows. While in the U.S., Mpagi worked with AID Atlanta on HIV prevention education initiatives with middle- and high-school students throughout the Atlanta area. Upon his return to Uganda, Mpagi implemented a similar HIV prevention education project in the Rakai District of Uganda, with the added element of parental participation in preventing youth from engaging in risky behaviors.
