Francis Mukora
As the Research, Advocacy and Communications Manager of Community Alliance for Human Settlements in Zimbabwe (CAHSZ), Francis Mukora advocates to strengthen the legal and policy framework to improve protection of Zimbabwe's internally displaced persons (IDPs) from forced displacements; engages in social movement building by mobilizing, organizing, and capacitating IDPs; and engages in networking and fundraising. While in the U.S., Mukora worked with Greening Youth Foundation (GYF) in Atlanta, where he assisted in managing GYF's Urban Youth Corps program and was responsible for the development and implementation of service and mentorship projects for students and young adults from underserved communities. Since his return to Zimbabwe, Mukora has focused his efforts on training youth and women in IDP communities on sustainable and profitable management and utilization of non-timber forest products and on a youth mentorship program.
