Gabriela Alina Ugarte Peralta
Gabriela works in the artisan products sector as the Project Manager and CEO of MISHKI. For middle- to upper-middle-class women aged eighteen to forty-five who want to feel distinctive while being socially responsible, MISHKI is an e-commerce and craft store that provides unique, sustainably developed, eco-friendly accessories and household items, including wearable accessories and home décor, that are culturally representative and support artisans in Bolivia. Gabriela's short-term goal is to enhance the company's visibility among the target audience in various countries and gain recognition in the nations where MISHKI exports its products. Their long-term goal is to expand globally. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Gabriela's top business challenge is Marketing & Sales. More specifically, they want to learn more about exporting products, managing taxes in multiple countries, and distributing products. During the Fellowship Placement, Gabriela hopes to gain knowledge about best practices in their industry.
