Garrett Kerns
Garrett is a program associate for the Center for Applied Learning and Impact. He provides administrative support for USAID’s Youth Excel project.
Prior to joining the team, Garrett spent time volunteering on a farm through the World Wide Organization of Organic Farms (WWOOF) as well as Habitat for Humanity. Garrett was also an intern for a translation and interpretation organization, where he provided affordable and reliable translation work for school districts, hospitals, and numerous other organizations in the greater Pittsburgh region.
Garrett received a bachelor's degree in political science and French, with certificates in Mediterranean studies and peace, conflict, and security from the University of Pittsburgh. Garrett holds a DELF B2 diploma in French skills issued by the French Ministry of National Education.
Garrett aims to use his specialized knowledge to support and drive organizations focused on governance, infrastructure, and language conflict. Garrett is a tenacious individual who believes in data-driven solutions to break down barriers for youth led and youth serving organizations.
