Hien Thi Thu Nguyen started her career at the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union, the social and political organization mandated to protect women’s legitimate rights and strive for gender equality, in 2003 and has been working in its Department of Ethnics and Religion Affairs ever since. As a Community Solutions Program Fellow, Hien hopes to become equipped with the knowledge and skills to identify challenges and solutions with respect to women’s and gender equality.

After finishing the Community Solution Program, Hien plans on bringing equal opportunities of access to legal support for the poor and women of ethnic origin in mountainous and remote areas in Vietnam.
