As a youth leader, Hussain Fayaz has been working to develop rural communities and youth through various environmental and climate change workshops and pilot projects. During his fellowship in the United States, Fayaz hopes to learn more about climate change vulnerability and adaptation preparedness techniques, proper waste management, and preparation of waste management plans for rural communities. At the same time, he intends to learn more about low carbon technology, sustainable energy, and climate change issues.

Upon returning from the program Fayaz plans to raise awareness on proper waste management techniques and motivate young people and women to take part in community development projects.
