Ilse works in the Energy and Environment sector as a leader at Orlegance, a distributor of handmade, natural, ecologically friendly personal care products, including shampoo and conditioner bars, moisturizing lotion bars, natural deodorant, soap bars, and lip balm. With careful selection of unique ingredients and in partnership with a chemist, Ilse and team have developed a line of products with longer shelf-lives than competing brands. Their clientele consists of ecologically and health-minded young women aged 22–35. Ilse sees opportunities for improvements in the manufacturing process and for cost efficiencies in shipping. Coming to the YLAI Fellowship, Ilse’s top business challenge is Operations.
