Immaculate Javia
As the Founder/Director of Sustainable Alluvial Mining Services, Immaculate Javia directs and manages the affairs of the organization and secures funding to run programs. While in the U.S., Javia worked with Earth Works in Washington D.C., where she updated blogs and observed the work of the organization while she met and connected with other key stakeholders in Washington, D.C. dealing with small scale miners. Since her return to Papua New Guinea, Javia has established the organization, which now represents small scale miners around the country and acts as a voice for thousands of affected alluvial miners. She leads training and information sessions to educate miners.
