Iris Aliaj
As a lawyer working at the Center for Legal Civic Initiatives, Iris Aliaj has supported and provided legal education to citizens, especially to women and girls, in order to increase their access to public institutions through free legal services, legal education, advocacy, and lobbying for democratization of the justice system since 2008. As a Community Solutions Program Fellow, Aliaj hopes to learn more about women and gender issues, especially as it pertains to gender equality, prevention of exploitation and human trafficking, prevention of domestic violence, and building skills and resources to promote gender equality and women’s rights.
Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, she intends to advocate for women who are subject to gender discrimination in the justice system.
