At the National Student Christian Council in Liberia, Isatu Ville coordinates projects that engage young women in local and national politics; encourage women’s participation in community life and leadership activities; and provide a forum from which to advocate for issues that affect Liberian women. While in the U.S., Ville worked with the DC-based civic and voter education organization Rock the Vote, where she provided support to the organization’s communications strategy and civic education programs aimed at U.S. high school students. Upon return to Liberia, Ville worked to integrate lessons on democracy and civic participation into Liberian secondary school curriculum.
