As founder and executive director of the Institute for Policy Evaluation and Research (IPER), Jacob J Flomo has experience organizing and executing civic and voter education programs in Liberia targeting first-time voters and young women. For his CSP Practicum, Jacob was placed at North Star Civic Foundation in Portland, Oregon where he collaborated to design and conduct research, analyze data, interview community leaders, and met with community groups to share best practices. For his follow-on project in Liberia, Jacob plans to embark on a voter integrity project and participate in the Youth Democratic Fellowship program to help improve democratic outcomes in Liberia.
